CBAHI Launches National Standards for Acute Coronary Syndrome Services

The Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) launched today the national standards for acute coronary syndrome services, in the presence of a number of elite international and local specialists.
The Director General of Sepahi, Dr. Salem Al-Wahabi, explained that the center took more than 12 months to prepare and write the standards, in cooperation with the best international and local experts in this regard.
Dr. Al-Wahabi stressed that the center’s strategic plan 2022-2026 aims to complete the evaluation and accreditation of about 18,000 health facilities in all cities of the Kingdom, as well as attracting and training hundreds of accredited evaluators to conduct evaluation visits to health facilities.
The national standards for acute coronary syndrome consist of 44 main criteria and 211 sub-standards aimed at providing an integrated medical service, verifying that the necessary procedures are enabled and activated safely, quickly and professionally from the moment the symptoms are detected in the patient to receiving full care and appropriate rehabilitation.
Sepahi is the official body authorized to grant accreditation certificates to all healthcare facilities operating in the public and private sectors in the Kingdom.
